Ik ben een perfectionist, en wat ik ook doe ‘het is nooit goed genoeg’. De focus op sterke kanten heeft mij veel inzicht gegeven in mijn opstelling/houding ten aanzien van mijn werk en collega’s. In 2017 Kitty Schaap guided me through a for me ‘eye-opening’ journey, being the Strengthscope leadership development program. This development gave me a lot of unexpected, yet very helpful, understandings on myself, which helped me to further mature myself as a professional (but also as a human being), certainly behavior wise I’ve learned a lot. I am very happy to provide a reference for Kitty, with whom I worked closely for several years at Sotheby’s auction house, both in Amsterdam and London. Kitty was senior HR for Sotheby’s Netherlands, and also took on many projects during the 2009/10 downturn in the global art market. Kitty was key in transitioning the company from a large salesroom into a smaller business development team. During this process her project management and people management skills were a boon to the company. The new business unit required detailed role refining along with various leadership development elements, including change management, leadership behaviours, and feedback delivery.
Team building was also an important aspect of the work that Kitty undertook along with the executive team. Kitty is an excellent sounding board for a range of issues at all levels of an organisation. She brings sensitivity and practical solution.
